OMG this is my 100th post, you guys! This look is so different for me, personally. I guess it's my spin on office wear - since I'm graduating in a few short weeks, and all! :-0 When I used to work, before grad school, I would never stick to the typical blacks/greys/blues. I always loved wearing colors. So, this is me prepping myself for when I'm back in the workforce - which will be soon, hopefully. The great thing about this outfit is that it's totally work appropriate (even without a blazer!) and can still be worn straight to happy hour!

Outfit: Coral & Turquoise

I love that the colors on this dress are so intense! As I had mentioned in this post, this dress is one of the 3 items I ended up keeping from the Prabal for Target collection. I absolutely love the dress, my only issue is that it gets wrinkled. I feel like this is the perfect outfit for work, or a Sunday brunch!

Btw, if you follow me in Instagram or Twitter, you might have seen that I got a new haircut last week. I've got a few more outfit posts from before the new haircut so I'll debut the new 'do on the blog next week! :)

Outfit: Emerald Shoes

These shoes are one of my absolute favorites - I bought them a few years ago and it was totally meant to be. The thing is, I had been eyeing them for a while but didn't wanna spend the full price. So, one day I was at the mall with Sheela when we saw that Steve Madden had a Spin The Wheel sale. I figured why not give it a shot? Well, I won 40% off of one item and I bought these shoes! They also just happen to be in Pantone's 2013 color of the year!

April's Covet List

Bag / Dress / Boots / Bracelet / Pants / Necklace

Bag: Y'all probably already recognize the bag! I've always wanted this bag and I absolutely love it in this beautiful, pastel color!

Dress: Well, black & white is one of THE hottest trend this spring. What I love about this dress is that the white part is actually faux leather. I already have another piece in white faux leather and I feel like it's the perfect mix of summer+girly+edgy.

Boots: These boots are pretty much a far more affordable version of the Chloë studded boots. I absolutely love them - they're super versatile and edgy.

Bracelet: I am sort of obsessed with animal bangles of this kind, and I already own a couple (seen here, here, here, here, to mention a few). J.Crew puts out a new animal bangle every season and I love each and every one. This one, however, is a bit special because I've always been in awe of dolphins - they fascinate me!

Pants: Military-inspired is another huge trend this spring so, I feel like I pretty much need these ankle skinnies, no?

Necklace: You might have noticed in some of my recent posts (like this one) that lately I've been gotten into stacking multiple little pendant necklaces. I've gathered quite a few necklaces and this would be the perfect addition!

Happy Monday, lovies! You know I just realized I've been so drawn to yellow lately - I've posted quite a few outfits recently with yellow tops. So, this will have to be the last of it - it's time to stop the discrimination! Anyways, I wanna share something with you guys ....

Outfit: Bright Pants

OMG I scored these ankle pants at H&M, for $7, last week and I am obsessed with the color - aren't they amazeballs? I wore this outfit while running errands yesterday and then to dinner dinner, last night - though I actually ended up carrying a small crossbody bag to dinner. You'll be seeing a lot more of these pants on the blog because I pretty much wanna wear them everyday!

I know the first day of Spring was last week but it didn't actually feel like Spring until yesterday. So, I decided to go all out, in my floral pants.

Trend Alert: Military Inspired

Happy Monday, guys! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I had spring break last week but it wasn't nearly as exciting as I had thought it would be. I spent the first half packing for and stressing about a trip that never happened. The second half was spend being sick, recovering from it, and unpacking from that trip that never happened. Anyways, I have a midterm tomorrow so I spent the weekend attempting to study for it! Jealous? Right! I bet your regular work weeks were more exciting than my spring break!

It wasn't all bad though! As mentioned in my Easter Finds post, I participated in a group giveaway, and I have a ton of new followers! I mean, I had it on repeat alllll weekend! OK, moving on to today's post ....

Military-inspired is definitely one of my top five favorite Spring 2013 Trends! Personally, I feel like this would be more of a Fall/Winter trends but I'm more than happy to rock it this spring! As I had mentioned in this post, when I like a trend, I like to add 1 or 2 versatile pieces for that trend to my wardrobe. It's the best way to get your wardrobe ready for that season! So, I've picked out some of my favorite military-inspired pieces to help you update your wardrobe!

You know how there are certain pieces that just deserve to have an entire outfit planned around them? Well, I feel like this bag is one of those. Yesterday was supposed to be warm and sunny so I thought I could wear this outfit but it turned out to be cold and gloomy. Clearly, I'm already in Spring mode.

Spring 2013 Wardrobe Update

With a new season, we have new trends and these trends change so rapidly that's it tough to always keep up and update your wardrobe to match every trend! I have a couple rules about this - 1. Remember you don't HAVE to follow every trends. 2. You don't have to flood your wardrobe with the new trends every season. What I typically do is buy 1 or 2 pieces for each trend that I'm loving.

Let's talk about Spring 2013. I'm so excited because as much as I love brights and florals (and I do LOVE brights & florals), it's great to see some fun, new trends! I'm gonna stick with 3 of my faves for this season - Black & White, Stripes, and Leather. I've picked some of my favorite pieces for each trend.

PS - As mentioned in this post, I'm on a 2-month shopping ban. So, this was not easy for me - I want literally every single piece! You guys have fun shopping on my behalf! :)

Prabal Gurung For Target: A Love Story

From the minute I heard about this collab, I was in love. When I saw the lookbook, I could feel the love. Prabal Gurung is one of my absolute favorite designers and Target has always done a fabulous job with their designer collabs (except the one with Neiman Marcus - that was awful!). I can see myself falling in love, wearing one of the dresses from this collection. Seriously, I'm kind of obsessed with this collection. Ok, I'll stop talking about it now and just share some of my favorite pieces.

OOTD: Spots & Stripes

Hey lovies - hope y'all had an amazing holiday season and a fabulous NYE! How's 2013 been treating you so far? We didn't have heat in our house for 2 weeks - finally got that sorted out today - yay! I'm also starting classes again in 2 weeks so, just been spending time catching up with friends.

Now about this outfit - B&W, and stripes are two of THE biggest trends for Spring 2013! So, when I saw this top, I had to have it, but I didn't just wanna pair it with something predictable like leggings or dark jeans. So, I decided to go out of my comfort zone, and mix prints!

OOTD: Red & Snow Leopard

I found this sweater the other day and am kind of obsessed with it. It's super cozy and I love the animal print! When I was thinking of what to pair it with, I realized I hadn't worn my favorite colored jeans in a while. Between the print sweater and the bright pants, the outfit already has a lot going on so I decided to keep the accessories simple. This was also my first time shooting with Reggy Stainfil, which was a super fun experience - check him out!

OOTD: Pink Polka Dots in Paris

Ok, so I didn't go to Paris but with my stockings, it's the closest I've ever been! :) A couple years ago, I wore these stockings and shoes to work and one of my then co-workers Instagrammed a pic of it. I hadn't worn these stockings since. I just recently came across that pic again and that picture inspired this look!

Thanksgiving Eve

Last night, I went to NYC with a few people, to a Thanksgiving Eve party. Being a grad student, this has become a rare occasion. So, of course, I was super excited and this venue is beyond stunning! I was super confused about what to wear and then I found a peplum dress I had bought a while ago and never worn! I think this was actually my first time wearing peplum!

Lately, I feel I've been drawn to B&W outfits and then either pairing the outfit with bright colors (here) or keeping it mellow (here). Either way, I think B&W outfits are the perfect blank canvas, no?

What To Wear: Holiday Party Remix

During the most recent StyleCaster #StyleChat on Twitter, someone asked "Little Black Dress or colorful attire for your Holiday Party?". I, of course, said color! As cliché as this sounds, it is the most wonderful time of the year. So, why not wear color and sparkles, and celebrate? And with that, I've picked 3 beautifully chic looks, that don't require an LBD!

OOTD: Wedge Sneakers

I had been on the hunt for a budget-friendly pair of wedge sneakers for a while and eventually, I gave up. Over the summer when I was interning at New Balance, I had to do store visits and during one of those store visits, I saw this pair at DSW and my search finally came to an end! Well, I finally had a pair of wedge sneakers and then came the million dollar question - How on earth do I style these things? Of course, I Googled it but it was all pictures of celebrities wearing em and clearly, I'm not tall and skinny like them so that didn't help much.
